its one thing to disagree that Engage has a good story but why, why, WHY must all people who do bring up 3H

Between the people who go "everyone who hates engage is because it's not 3H 2" or "3H is better than Engage", I am being like shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-zip it

It's not about 3H but about Engage, if someone doesn't mention 3H AT ALL why exactly do you feel so compelled to mention 3H in one way or another ?? please. Stop. Someone talk about engage, talk to them about engage even if you disagree with them.

This is what I dislike the most about conversation regarding Engage : while criticism is fine, people have the right to disagree and critique your criticism, it's fair game, and the FE fanbase in general doesn't understand that there is a clear distinct difference between actual constructive criticms and blind hatred but make sure they will get mad at you for daring to know the difference

I think no better example than that would be how people talk about the designs and artstyle

Not liking it is valid, Mika Pikazo's art isn't everyone's cup of tea and the same thing can be said about the design

However, which take to you believe people are at the very least willing to respect even if they disagree ?

"I don't like Engage's design at all, they stray too much from what I think makes the spirit of FE and help it stand out amongst all the other JRPG which mainly comes down from it's simplier design, Engage's design are too overdesign and bombastic, I get that they wanted it to be a flashy title but I hope they won't reuse this direction for the next game"

or

"ghhhhhhhh Engage's designs suck, they look like v tubers or deviant art ocs, genshin impactass design weeabo anime trash"

I get that on social media especially twitter you can't afford to write pages upon pages but how can you genuinely accuse people of not handling criticism when your criticism sounds like an alien crypted message we have to dicipher ?

In the former example, it's made very explicit why the person would think the designs are bad or at least not be to their tastes : because they think it being too colorful and overdesigned doesn't match with the rest of the franchise spirit wise which is something I actually agree with, while FE has a great variety of designs, it's true they dont feel in line with the trend the franchise usually follows. Obviously this can be a point of divergence because if some people dislike the trend usually followed by FE designs because they think it makes them too simple or plain, maybe they will like Engage or maybe they will see it as an overcorrection, but the point is that this argument over meat to the bone, it's clear, you can see point you agree or disagree with

The latter however ?? this makes no sense ?? the heck is a "genshin impactass design "???

Firstly, the "they look like v tuber" argument never made sense to me because it is based on a misconception regarding what v tubers are. V tubers design have various ranges, types, themes etc. It's not "oh multi colored hair and bright colors must be a v tuber" or any of the nonsense I have seen, any character could be argued to be "looking like a v tuber" because a v tuber can be any character. However, in the case of the specific artist we are discussing, Mika Pikazo, the way she designs her v tuber is completely different from the way she designed the Engage cast, something that was even stated in interviews, the bright colors and multihair colored hairstyle have nothing to do with v tuber, it's just Pikazo's preference because she built her reputation on her way to use color and Engage is filled with her own techiques

Secondly, the deviant art ocs bit is really not a criticism, it's just something used to described a "vibe" based on something mocked by internet culture regardless of the current state of deviant art ocs because I can tell you from following many artist doing commission on deviant art some people have very good ocs because they master the art of character designs, stop believing that this one time you saw a 9 nine year old share their art of a character they designed when they might or might not have fundementals in the art of character design is a monolith.

Thirdly, the "they look like from genshin impact" never made sense to me. The only common point I can see is the texturing of the models which is only natural given they were both made in the Unity engine. Genshin does have very detailed and over designed design but they still look different from Engage which brings me to the second point : much like the v tuber claim, this one is never substantified with any arguments. Not to mention that saying the artist must have taken inspo from Genshin when 1) Pikazo has been an artist long before Genshin ever existed 2) It's GENSHIN who draws inspiration from the traditional anime artstyle to appeal to a wider audience and even reuses many elements that make it clear someone at Hoyoverse must be a Fate Order fan 3) Engage was being developped alongside 3H and was supposed to release in 2020 meaning it was being worked on and finished before Genshin impact's release, again, Engage's late release is a result of Covid getting in the way, Covid had a bad effect of many games developpement, I heard that even Bravely Default 2 got some rocky moments because of corona

Even if you don't like Pikazo, trying to spin her artstyle she worked on for years as some bad copy of Genshin impact just because you are familiar with Genshin but not Pikazo despite her popularity in the artistic sphere is a show of ignorance and getting mad at people for saying it's not criticism and that it is wrong nonethless isn't doing your cause any favor

Lastly the weaboo or too anime complain is something that as someone who draws anime girl and bois fly over my head. Am I genuinely supposed to believe that there was a time FE's artstyle wasn't anime ? When exactly ? Marth's design is carbon copy of Arion from the movie Arion, Caeda is clearly inspired from Lesphena comming from the same movie, Camus/Sirius is literaly Char from Gundamn, the artstyle of FE 1 was typical of the anime artstyle of the 80' where the characters are between cartoony and more detailed/"realistic " proportions, Fe 4 and 5's artstyle is respecting every single convention of the 90's anime artstyle with characters having long arms and legs, vase shaped face, big eyes, fluffy undetailled hair, pointy noise etc. I could go on with the examples, it would probably need to be an analysis of itself to detail all the trends, but when has FE's arstyle not being anime ? Anime is the most popular artstyle in all of Japanese media, it's incredibly common in JRPGS even if the specific niche of anime artstyle and conventions it respects are going to depend on several factors and so on. This is certainly not helped by the fact that artist like Mayumi Hirota and Eiji Kaneda worked on anime.

Moreover, Mika Pikazo's artstyle isn't very cartoony : she draws young character so her proportions ratio seems to be of 5 to 6' s head which is very common in many anime artstyle but also comes from the fact she likes to draw young characters, she draws eyes in a very detailled way, including part that many inluding me overlook such as the waterline which ends up giving her art a more realistic touch to it, while her way to draw the nose depends she does draw the nostrils but she can substituate it to coloring blocking in colors to represent the nose or a dot, which is something many artist do because drawing the nose is a pain and she draws hands in a way they are very detailled and dynamic : that's no small feat, do you know how painful to draw hands are ?????????

That makes her artstyle revered by many in the artsphere and lead to many people including me doing artstudies of her artstyle, seeing the takes on her artstyle and the hate it gets from people who won't wanna bother be constructive about engage and most of the times know nothing about Pikazo is a level of pain I wasn't expected to be built for but here I am anyway

Also cut it with the weeaboo/weeb thing, FE has always been for otakus, heroic fantasy is a pillar of otaku culture, DQ is a popular franchise among otakus, Kaga is an otaku, Fe is inspired of Gundam, the anime that singlehandedly turned mecha into a pillar of otaku culture and helped it flourish, most of the anime he cites in the interview like Ginga Eiyu also partakes into otaku culture's most beloved media and I heard that one of the most modern anime he liked was the seinen Kaguya sama Love is war. Also, if you are going to come after Engage for the weeaboo/weeb thing I am sorry to break it out to you but : Wada Sachiko, artist for the GBA and PoR, is a fan of Fate and made fanart of Saber avalaible on her pixiv, Senri Kita, artist for PoR and RD, designed many V tubers which you can see on her pixiv, don't get me started on Hidari, fan of of Vocaloid, Sound Horizon, fantasy, illustrated for Fate Grand Order, Atelier, made a bunch of Lodoss war and Index fanart, as for Chinatsu Kurahana, she not only worked on Uta no prince sama but on many BL and even designed V tubers for Hololive. Every artist IS hire is part of this anime fan otaku culture and as built a reputation in these spheres, that's why they hired them in the first place, get over it. Stop trying to spin it as IS trying to caters to weebs, they are trying to cater to their japanese audience because Japanese people in the sphere of gaming tends to also like anime and to enjoy anime artstyle, something being "too anime" doesn't make a shred of sense when it's an artstyle built upon an simplifcation of the human body that isn't completely in the deformation unlike cartoons and try to have cute characters, yet none of these people ever try to define what they mean by too anime let alone in techinical terms !

People often claim that somehow Pikazo's background as v tuber artist influenced her design decision but putting aside for 2 seconds the fac that so far she designed only 3 V tubers (I repeat, 3) they never try to substiante that claim with any evidence, to the point that other FE having artist who have a similar background as Pikazo is fine "because it didn't influenced their design choice" somehow, but in the case of Pikazo it's not, because again, in an attempt to bash on Engage they end up bashing Pikazo as a whole, because these people are THAT bad at criticism.

That's not even mentioning how that's somehow implying v tubers artist are less of an artist despite the fact that having to work on a v tuber is seen as a HUGE deal in japan

In short, this latter "criticism" doesn't inform about what the person thing is bad about Engage's design and artstyle but on the contrary sounds uninformed, poorely phrased and in frankly bad tastes

and keep in mind that there will be people defending the latter because again, people don't care about whether or not what they say makes sense but only in "being in the right"

Needless to say that because of the discourse that is happening right now, I have been seeing endless takes like this

When it comes to cultures I don't have authority to speak on it, as I'm not a part of that said culture. But I also have my own culture and religion so whenever some caricatures try to silence people of that culture who are trying to speak out about it, I would get pissed too. I'd imagine if a company took my culture & religion and poorly represented the people of my culture, honestly anyone would get angry at this. So please, continue to raise your voices to this unfairness they have shown. It will not be a waste, educating is never a waste.

It's very unlikely that a multimillion dollar company doesn't have access so much as Google. What happened to thorough research? What happened to asking something you're unsure of? What happened to TRYING???

But one thing I can speak on is regarding skin diversity as I am of a person of color myself. Whitewashing especially really makes me angry because why is it that hard to remain true to the original skin color huh? Artists who don't have much resources as a big company such as hoyoverse, I've seen better redesigns than any of the atrocities of natlan characters. And also why only the proper representation is the enemies or even npcs hmm?? Are you trying to tell us something? Bro the brown playable characters are literally so much whiter than me 😭

Fun fact, I continued playing genshin because of kaeya (I fell in love with his character and story) but just to be set aside the whole time despite having such an important backstory. The reason I'm even motivated to play genshin is expecting more from his character but hoyo said ✨noh✨ a lot of people pointed this out; why is it only the brown playable characters have shitty kits or not that good meta wise 🧐

Hoyoverse.. you are catering to a global audience, is it that hard to respect people's cultures that you took inspiration from? I'm telling you, at this moment you'll lose a lot of players and don't think just because you have other games that you'll be fine. Because I can see a pattern from when even before genshin was released this was not a new thing. I'm 100% sure you'll do the same with other games. albedo ♡

you'd think that because albedo is an alchemist in the game, that i would put him down as a science teacher. not this time around he's not! i see albedo as an art teacher! even though it is only a hobby for him, i really like the image of him passing his admiration for art onto the kids he teaches. i think that his love for the subject would really show in his teaching and captivate his students. he would inspire them to be better artists and when they come to visit him years later, many would tell him that he was the reason why they wanted to be better at art. it always warms his heart to hear that he has influenced the next generation, and it makes him even happier seeing how much they have progressed throughout the years. he definitely keeps up with as many of his older students as he can, follows them on social media and scrolls through their work with pride.

i think that he would teach high school kids, specifically ages 14-16. when he was first getting started with teaching, he did grow a soft spot for grade school children, but with high schoolers, he's able to have conversations with people who have a more in-depth understanding of the world. when they all aren't busy, he likes to talk to them about things that are personal to everyone to understand their thoughts, opinions, feelings and ideas. this is one of many things that he loves about his job, learning more about his students. every individual that he teaches are so fascinating in their own way, and having the opportunity to get to know them all is something that he feels grateful for everyday.

i don't really see him having a special nickname for his students, probably just "students", "class", "kids", etc.

albedo isn't too strict of a teacher, he does have his rules and enforces them accordingly but he isn't uptight necessarily. he allows phones, food, drinks, earbuds/headphones etc in his class as long as they do not become a distraction, but if he notices that anyone isn't paying attention to the lesson because of these things, then he will ask for them to be put away.

a big pet peeve of albedo's is when students don't clean up after themselves. there is no reason for them not to, and he does not have the time to tidy their messes. it typically isn't much of an issue, as many of his kids are respectful of the space they take up and the time they have, but when it does happen, he cannot help but be annoyed.

albedo is very beloved by his pupils. he accommodates all of his students as best as he can, and he does his best to ensure that he is a safe space for his kiddos to come to him whenever they need anything. he is particularly adored by his fellow queer and neurodivergent folk, for they can relate to him at that level. he is happy that his efforts of creating a safe place for the young people that he teaches have paid off, especially for those who are like him. many have called him their favorite teacher because of his detailed teaching style and open-mindedness, and he humbly accepts the honor.

albedo never had an interest in social media until his students started to beg him to download some. he agreed begrudgingly and downloaded a few, and was very rarely active on them until those kids graduated. it was only not long after that he started to become more active. he never really posts, but he does interact with their content and keeps up with them to soak in the pride of their development.

yanfei ♡

yanfei being a government teacher makes the most sense to me. she is very passionate about law, so i feel like being able to pass on that knowledge as to how it all works is something that she would find really fulfilling and exciting.

once again, i see yanfei teaching high school kids, ages 14-16. maybe a little younger, but it's a strong maybe. i feel like she would get along really well with the kids and it would be really fun for her.

i can see yanfei calling her students "lovelies" or "lovely people". i think she really adores her students and wants to make them feel special, so that's how she refers to them outside of all of the basic stuff.

yanfei isn't much of a strict teacher either, she does allow phones, headphones/earbuds, snacks, drinks etc in her classroom as long as it is in moderation. she is a bit stricter than albedo, though, because when the students are working, they are working. no dilly-dallying or distractions, if she catches someone that is getting distracted or straight-up not doing their work, she will remind them to stay on task or to get on task if they aren't. she never sounds mean or anything, she just wants everyone to stay focused.

something that really grinds yanfei's gears is deliberate disobedience. when she asks a student to put something away, and they refuse or even start to speak to her disrespectfully, she will start to lose it. she's pretty good at keeping a level head, she won't yell or rarely fights with her students, but it really tips her over the edge when she asks one of her kiddos to do something kindly and they respond rudely. she didn't do anything to deserve that treatment, so why she receives it sometimes is something that she will never understand. it's something that she's learned to deal with as she has progressed in her career, and it doesn't happen too often, but when it does, it puts her very on-edge.

yanfei is very straightforward in her teaching style. once a lesson has started, it has started and it is uncommon for her to get distracted while she is teaching. a lot of her students like this because it means that they can get their work done swiftly and without any disturbances, and it fills her with pride to know that they are so dedicated to their studies.

just because yanfei likes for her and her kiddos to remain focused during their learning time doesn't mean that she is always so serious. she will converse with the students and laugh with them, and tries to surprise them with fun lessons so that they can stay engaged in what she's teaching them. she'll take selfies with them and follows them on social media, even make tiktoks with them when they are done with their work! while she does take her time on the clock seriously, that doesn't mean that she won't have any fun or bond with her students in the process.

music teacher yun jin. need i say more?

i feel like yun jin would teach grade school children. the thought of her singing with the kids and passing her love for music onto them just makes my heart feel all warm and happy eyfbuw.

yun jin calls her students "little ones", "lovelies", maybe other endearing terms. she uses "little ones" the most and it's adorable. her eyes show how much she loves and cares for her students whenever she looks at them.

yun jin is not a very strict teacher, some say that she spoils her students a little bit too much. she brings in snacks, candies, stickers, and makes her lessons as fun for the children as she can!!!! she believes that they deserve all of the rewards in the world for their accomplishments, and maybe she does overdo it sometimes, but that does not mean that she is a pushover. while she does find it difficult to tell her kids no, she knows that it is essential to the classroom environment, so she will be firm with her boundaries, much to the kids' dismay.

as much as she loves to let the kids have fun with all of the different instruments and wants them to be creative, she is still teaching grade school children who aren't always aware of their volume. they get excited, therefore they get loud, and while she is pretty used to it, sometimes all of the instruments being played at the same time with high-pitched screeching small people scratches the chalkboard of her brain. especially if she has asked them to quiet down multiple times, and they don't listen/get louder. her students respect her, so they do try to mind their volume when she asks, but there are days where they aren't as mindful of the noise they're making. there have been times where she has had to leave the room for a few minutes because of how overstimulating it could be, or told the kids to put the instruments away since they weren't adhering to her instruction.

yun jin is the type of teacher who is almost always smiling. she is cheerful around everyone in the workplace, especially around the little ones. doing what she does everyday makes her so happy that she cannot help herself! she adores the children that she teaches with everything that she is. they are all so unique, smart and kind, and she feels so lucky that she gets to help them expand their knowledge about something that is so important in the world.

sometimes, when she is alone in her classroom, she likes to blast rock and roll music. some of the staff have caught her jamming out to it, and to say that they were surprised is an understatement. yun jin is so well-known for enjoying opera that no one would expect her to enjoy rock and roll. i think it would be funnier if the students found out because they would be asking her all sorts of questions and she would just have to laugh it off.

zhongli ♡

this man is a history teacher. he has been alive for many years, therefore he is able to give an accurate, detailed description of history that he will be passing forward, and he can connect with younger generations to understand the modern world.

i don't have any specific ideas for what age group zhongli would teach, because honestly, i feel as though he would be happy teaching any age group. he is so interested to learn more about the world that has come to be that i feel as though it wouldn't matter much to him. no age group in particular really sticks out to me either.

zhongli wouldn't have any special nicknames for his students. just the normal stuff.

zhongli is similar to yanfei, but i imagine that he is a bit more strict than her. not to say that he's extremely hung-up on his rules, but he is very firm about them. he is never disrespectful when he is enforcing the boundaries within his classroom, but he does make it clear that he will not be so easily swayed. i imagine that he may be a bit more loose if he was teaching younger children, but he wouldn't tolerate any misbehavior.

this is a little sad and i don't know how much of a "pet peeve" it can be considered but i think that one of zhongli's pet peeves is when his class isn't listening to him. he knows that he has a tendency to go on long rambles that not everybody understands, but when he feels like his students are straight-up ignoring him, it makes him a little sad. he wants to be able to share his thoughts and stories with the younger people, but when he gets cast to the side like that, he can't help but feel a little down. he corrects himself and gets back to subject if he or any of the students can even remember what he was talking about to begin with, and he does apologize for it, but it still disheartens him.

zhongli is a very fun teacher, i think. he has been doing this for so long that he knows exactly how to keep the students engaged in what he teaches them, and he has also mentally noted every trick in the book that any student has ever used on him, so that if there is a repeat of an event, he knows what's going on and how to respond. he is always willing to try new things on behalf of his kiddos, and he is very open-minded. it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be able to listen to zhongli's stories, so many of his students tune in whenever he starts talking, for they are very interested in hearing about one of plenty tales that he has to tell. he is someone that everybody could learn from, if only to give him the chance.

if zhongli was teaching older children, they would be begging him to get a phone. he never had one before his students began to beg him, plus he figured that he would end up needing one anyways. he didn't use it much at first, but that changed with time. he soon got to using social media, and now does all sorts of fun things on there with his students. he finds it a bit difficult to keep up with the newer trends, but he does his best and his students love him for it.

an oral history of vocaloid

ive seen a lot of (very misguided) discussion about vocaloid/vsynth in regards to AI voices discourse, so i thought it would be a good idea to sit down and explore vocaloid as a software, as well as mentioning other software of the same genre, to give people who dont really know much a better understanding

first and foremost: i dislike AI voices that are in unregulated spaces right now. actors who are finding their hard work end up on some website for anyone to use without compensation is devastating, and shows a lack of respect for the effort it takes in the field.

however, vocaloid has a much longer history that pre-dates these aggregate sites. vocaloid software was first released in 2004, and was initially marketed towards professional musicians. vocaloid's second version of the engine, however, decided to broaden the market towards general consumers, pitching it as helpful software to those who wanted to produce music, but didn't have the personal skill or ability to have someone else sing for their music (range, note holding, etc). amateur musicians wouldn't know how to direct someone to tackle a lyric persay, but using software would be easy to learn and they would learn the terminology associated with certain performance decisions.

in vocaloid 2's era, miku was released. miku's voice provider is Saki Fujita, a well respected voice actress who actually does a lot of work in anime as well as video games! the popularity of miku is its own separate post of history, but the explosive nature of it, i would argue, is the reason that vocaloid and other commercial voice synthesizer software ultimately ended up geared towards all consumers instead of just professional musicians. (crypton and yamaha did absolutely still cater to professional musicians, having private or non released banks only for certain companies/contractors to use though).

flash forward, and technology has developed way further. in 2013, cevio released, and in 2017, synthV debuted. by this point, vocal synthing has expanded from just singing software to also include software intended for just speaking (voiceroid by AHS software) and the idea of an AI bank to improve the quality and clarity of voice banks is becoming more feasible.

however, i wouldnt say the developments in AI voices came strictly from this side of things. in fact, i distinctly remember back in the early 2010s, people were using websites with voice models of characters like glados (portal) and spongebob. these audio posts were seen as novelties, and admittedly theyre fun just to mess around with (and people often find the spongebob rap music that yourboysponge makes to be pretty well done!), they do lead the way to better developed technology that doesnt compensate the artist...

so back to vocaloid. the thing about vocaloid (and all vocal synthesizers) is that contracts are in place to give appropriate time and compensation, along with permission to even use the person's voice. saki fujita continues to update miku's voicebank because she is being paid well to do so. this can be said for all vocal synth products. because these companies (crypton, ahs software, internet co, etc) specialize in making these tools and products for it, they have the appropriate knowledge on what proper compensation looks like. a random person grabbing a "raiden shogun genshin ai voice" model has none of those things. the voice actress doesnt get money off of that. its stolen work. AI can be used ethically, but it has to be done with regulation.

im leaving out specifics on certain vocaloids/vsynthesizers since its tangential to this post at best, but im making this so people have a better understanding of the history and intended usage of vocal synthesizer software. thank youuuuu

/grumbles. You know exactly what I'll say here, Aven, you're cheating. But here we go: the double standards of M/M ships versus everything else. The fact that M/M ships come out of the wood works simply when two male characters appear in the same trailer (even if entirely separately from one another), but if I ship a hetero ship (or lesbian, though that falls into a slightly different topic as people's avoidance of those is something else altogether), I need to bend over backwards even if it's canonically substantiated and would have an overwhelming amount of fans if it was an M/M ship. I understand the need for representation and its support, I do, but it's not that clear-cut and simple here. Because here's my thing, it doesn't just end there, and I'll use HSR's Kafblade as an example because I think that one has really gotten a hell of a lot of hatred. I need to sift through horrendous commentary on X that inevitably always pops up even in search results (or worse, in an artist's notes) when I'm simply doing something as mundane as... looking for fan-art. Anything from calling Kafka, a woman (you know, the ones women always preach should receive more support and respect), inherently toxic, to calling the shippers anti-LGBT because apparently Blade and Kafka are 'canonically' a gay man and a lesbian (where?), as if bisexuality still doesn't exist in 2024. And it still doesn't end there, because then I'm told that the people hating on Kafblade get just as much hatred. Okay, even if I accept that to be true for the sake of argumentation, the ones hating on, in this instance, Kafblade belong to the group that ships the overwhelmingly popular M/M ship (we all know I'm talking about Renheng in this instance). The support there is insane, there's a never-ending supply of art, much more than Kafblade— any hatred that it would get, would be drowned out quickly. Now granted, I admit that Kafblade is also not an ideal example, as its shippers have in turn rebelled into presenting a relatively aggressive defense, so I'll use Avenpaz as an example instead who goes against Ratiorine, or Guili in Genshin who goes against Zhongchi. When they're not being hated on (or judged) by the popular M/M ships, people need to apparently run a hundred extra miles as to prove that they have any sort of validity, or to even find shipping partners for them on Tumblr, because who knows who might judge you. Whether it's for liking a ship that isn't the popular ship. or for simply, possibly not shipping the popular M/M ship.

But here's also my issue, and this is likely the really 'unpopular' part of this opinion, but I don't even know if everyone (I know numerous do, don't worry) ships it for anything other than 'it's just two hot guys'. No substance, no rationality, nothing other than 'two men'. And here's my thing, if that's all you're in it for, that's your decision, but don't hide behind the curtain of 'pro-LGBT!!' while judging those who don't ship it, as if you're on some moral high ground. Because if you were situating yourself on a bit of a social political pedestal, you'd be shipping lesbian ships just as easily.

My Appearance

I like to think that I’m a pretty chill guy. painting and drawing! lately I fell back in love in traditional art and I picked up acrylic painting, and I'm watching a lot of videos and learning a lot - by my own trial and error too, but it's fun!

🍫 - "Chocolate or Cheese"

Mostly depends on the type of cheese and chocolate and on my mood that day.

But I guess, logically, I'd go with cheese. I like more types of cheese than chocolate, so if I suddenly only had the option to eat one of them, I'd have more varieties left with cheese :3

That being said, I do tend to get random cravings so sweets like chocolate, so theres that 😭

💎 - "Most Prized Posession"

There are many things I'd get genuinely sad if I were to lose them. But circling through them, I suppose any art/fic my friends ever made for me. When one of my friends wrote a oneshot about my Genshin ship kids a year ago I genuinely teared up (/pos) knowing someone liked my little babies enough to write about them.

I also still keep drawings that friends & followers, or even art fight opponents, made of my ocs and AUs all the way back to 2015, both physical ones and digital ones, if I can (I also keep commissions I requested, even if they were of fav charas instead of ocs!).

They mean a lot to me and it genuinely makes me so happy to look at them.

I know @k1tt1xruby always seems surprised when I say I still have the drawings she made for me all the way back to when we were 12-13 & 13-14, but I do really still have most of them (if not all). They mean the world to me, knowing that someone cared enough and liked my characters enough to draw them.

I do still have drawings from my amino days and back when I was on FNaF Oc Instagram years ago too, and I'm sad to admit for many of them I lost the credits to the artists as time went on due to deleted accounts, or even lost drawings because they were made before I compiled the folder on my phone. I obviously don't share any I no longer know the credits of, and even the ones I know the artists of I do not share their older art publicly out of respect.

Idk, I guess it just really makes me happy to keep them as a memory. Even if I lose touch with these people, I'll always have something to remember them by even a little bit.

These don't include the ones I own the physical drawing of & I'm pretty sure some of these I saved duplicates of (oops) plus some were lost before I made the folder, but regardless this is a folder I'll never clear out and that I probably should make a backup of eventually, in case something happens with my SD card. I also need to back up (my already backup) of my friends oneshot to my pc or a drive, in case google docs ever shuts down.

It just makes me really happy to look through it <3

You in particular may have noticed that one of my love languages is to draw my friends ocs or aus (or otherwise engage with them) :" so you can probably imagine how much it means to me if someone does the same for me.
